re silver bloodstains -- I was convinced that it meant unicorn blood, 
but later (I think in GOF) Moaning Myrtle blushes (when she tells 
Harry she hoped he would die and come and share her toilet) and when 
she blushes her cheeks flush silver. So silver might just be ghost 
gray. Regina (will this be the first post of mine that gets through?)
