Nah - too warm and fuzzy (no pun intended - hopefully he wouldn't come
during
a full moon <g>). I'd *much* rather see Snape be the one to turn up at the
Dursleys. Snape under orders from Dumbledore, in a *really* snarky mood,
and
only doing it under *masses* of duress. Completely honked off about having
to
do this, but agreeing after being reminded by Dumbledore that Harry's safety
is in jeopardy, and only a really "powerful" wizard can be trusted to keep
him safe, etc, etc, . . .
Now me:
Yes, I like the idea of Snape picking up Harry from the Dursley's! How about
this. When Snape comes to pick up Harry, Snape and Petunia make the
connection of long-lost-relatives. Then, every holiday, Snape is invited to
the Dursley's for dinner, but Harry is not and must stay at Hogwarts.
That is not likely to happen, but I swear that there has to be some
connection between (Perseus Evans jumbled to spell)Severus Snape and Petunia
and/or Lilly Evans.
