LOL! I have always harbored the sneaking suspicions that:
A) Snape is actually overjoyed at the fact that Harry is 
kept "prisoner" by the Dursleys and thinks they treat him exactly as 
they should and 
B)It was actually his suggestion that the Baby Harry be left there in 
the first place! "Oh yes, Sir. I've watched these muggles. They are 
exactly what a young whippersnapper like the son of James Potter 
needs!" 



Melpomene who loves Snape but still thinks he's a funny sourpuss at 
times.
