Well, that's what she said in an interview, she's also shown her
notebook with what she claims is "the students in Harry's year". It's an
alphabetical list of 41 names that begins with "Abbott, Hannah", and
ends with "Zabini, Blaise". I'm inclined to believe that this list is
complete.
In case there's anybody that hasn't seen this list, here are some
pictures:

Now, it's quite possible that the list is complete, and that there are
about a thousand students at Hogwarts. But that would mean that there
are extremely few students in Harry's year. Who knows, maybe Voldemort
was killing newborns on random to get to baby Harry.

With the notebook, Harry's year is pretty much accounted for.
There was also an interesting discussion about the house of these
students in alt.fan.harry-potter a while ago.

The conclusion was that we know of 8 students in each house, and there
are 9 students that we don't know where belongs.
If we make some assumptions, that we know all the Gryffindors in Harry's
year (no, I don't believe a word of the "two unknown Gryffindor girls
during the Boggart class" theory), and that 20 brooms and 20 earmuffs
are exact numbers, then we have 12 Slytherins and 12 Hufflepuffs, which
leaves us with 9 Ravenclaws.
(Now, if there really are 10 Gryffindors, there are also 10 Slytherins
and 10 Hufflepuffs, which means that there are 11 Ravenclaws.)
