Wood also says that Harry should gain points in the game (when Harry
was being too depressed of the lost 150 points to concentrate after
smuggling Norbert out). So they _do_ gain points in Quidditch.

I'm not so sure about the team gaining points according to score,
though.

Winning the game _does_ earn housepoints, yes. Why shouldn't it? Such
does show skill and talent, after all.

Doing something extraordinary within the game rules (such as the
Seeker catching the snitch into his mouth?), wouldn't give any game-
points, but it might give some extra house-points.

A school _record_ in catching the snitch (thus winning the game and
showing extra-ordinary skill) - would well be worth 50 house-points
all together...

The margin in score - winning house points- mamybe (at least it's
counted for Quidditch Cup) but the extra-ordinary skill, courage etc.
shown during the game would earn more as well...
