Well, Fudge makes an ambigous comment in GoF, but we don't really know
what he's referring to.

--8<-- GoF, Chapter 36, The parting of the ways
"Now, see here, Dumbledore," he said, waving a threatening finger.
"I've given you free rein, always. I've had a lot of respect for you.
I might not have agreed with some of your decisions, but I've kept
quiet. There aren't many who'd have let you hire werewolves, or keep
Hagrid, or decide what to teach your students without reference to the
Ministry. But if you're going to work against me -"

"decide what to teach the students"... What did he teach the students?
If there's any point in mentioning this, it must be because it's
something controversial, and among the things Harry's been thought so
far, the only really controversial stuff I can think of is the
unforgivable curses. But, there's a difference in demonstrating the
curses on spiders, and in actually performing one on the students.

But if he did it without Dumbledore's consent, did he really think that
no student would talk about the experience, and that Dumbledore wouldn't
find out? How many classes did Moody do this in? Every DADA-class, or
just Harry's?
