and two of them I've read stright through cover to cover in under 24

jkrowling_bn: well done on the reading speed!
jkrowling_bn: yes, something's 'going on'...
jkrowling_bn: but Ron doesn't realise it yet...
jkrowling_bn: typical boy'
I'm struck that it's RON who "doesn't know it yet," when we all
thought Ron was the one that *did* know it.<<

>>Yes, I'm struck by that as well, because it implies that Hermione
*does* know it. Which is how I've always interpreted Book 4, and is
also what Harry says:
"he somehow thought that Hermione had gotten the point much better
than Ron had."
*Who* thought that Ron *did* know it? We R/Hers have always had the
position that Ron still doesn't realize his own feelings, just as
Harry implied. We think Hermione *has* realized hers.<<
I viewed it as Ron didn't realize his feelings for Hermione and that
Hermione, and Harry, realized *his* feelings for her, not that she
has feelings for him. Ron maybe in denial or confused, it is his
bestfriend after all.

If Harry can't be with Hermione, I say he should be with someone we
have absolutely no idea about, a new character! lol I
can't "picture" him interested in Ginny.
I would like to state that, IMO, Harry tolerates Hermione a bit more
than Ron, even when it came to his Firebolt. I think Ron being mad
at Hermione, took advantage of that situation and "pushed" Harry to
not talk to her. When Hermione and Harry talk, it is more calm and
stable. In PoA, when he got his Firebolt back he was forgiving and
asked Hermione about her Arithmancy homework like he really cared.
We don't see that too much throughout any of the books coming from
Ron and Harry. I'm not saying that they *don't* care for one
another. It is obvious when they are willing to die for one another
and attack someone when the other is insulted. In the case of
Malfoy calling Hermione a mudblood and Ron's wand backfires on him.
Yet there are other forms to show each other that you care. Someone
in this group continually says that Ron and Hermione fight too much
and that it will destroy their romantic relationship, if they get
together. I think it *could* be possibly true. It wouldn't last.
Harry and Hermione have that stability.
And has anyone noticed that throughout PoA, Hermione is always
grasping Harry's arm when something is going down! ;) What *could*
that mean? ;)
AND I like to reiterate that in SS/PS, Hermione gave Harry a hug,
but being that it is written in Harry's POV he didn't say much about
it, except that she gave him a hug, but in GoF:
"Bye, Harry!" said Hermione, and she did something *she had never
done before,* and *kissed him on the cheek.*" (US paperback,
P.734/last page)
I emphasized that part, of course. Harry is realizing things he
hasn't before! Could it be his feelings for her or is he realizing
that she has feelings for him? I know the above is far-fetched and
complicated, but I'm looking for anything! lol Hey I can dream! ;)
