Please be nice with the postings.

Kathryn replied:
I went to Encarta.com and read what
they have about Merlin, and it gave
me an idea, but I don't understand
what you're getting at? What do you
think is really going on with
Dumbledore?

I reply:
You know, I'm certain that this has come up previously, but what the
heck:

"For a fleeting instant Harry thought he saw a gleam of something
like triumph in Dumbledore's eyes."
(GoF, US hardcover, Ch. 36, 696)

I comment:
You know, when I first read that line, and connected the 'gleam' with
the fact that Harry'd just said that Voldemort could now touch him,
all I could think to myself was "NOOOOOOOOO! Dumbledore's E-VIL!"

I had to spend weeks slowly reversing my position on that one line,
because my first impression was SO strongly in the negative direction.

Is this what you were referring to, Rona, something along these lines?
