I am a recent Harry Potter convert ( I actually order the whole set from
Amazon in December and read the whole series in less than a week. On the
fourth time through now.)
I apologize if has been discussed before, but after reading this list and a
bunch of websites, I spent a lot of time thinking about THE END. Sorry if I
am accidentally rip off some else's idea.
I believe something like the above quoted excerpt will happened. However,
when Harry is revived his magical powers and his scar are gone (or possibly
vanished slowly).
He returns to the Muggle world, to the Dursleys' (who have learned to
appreciate him by then). This gives JKR an out from the series without
killing off Harry.
Sorry just to jump in so deep without testing the waters, but this has been
bugging me for weeks. This is COMPLETE conjecture.
Thanks for all the lively discussion and please pardon any errors.
