I gotta disagree; I have faith in Percy. I thnk these
are clear examples of Ron misreading Percy, rather
similarly to how he so often misreads Snape. If Ron
doesn't like someone (or is annoyed by them) he is all
to ready to think ill of them.
And I think Percy places what is right above
advancement. There's nothing wrong with ambition, and
Percy certainly has some. I don't think he'll let it
blind him, though. If anything, his guard will be up
after how Barty Jr. & co. fooled him.
Lastly, I can't see Percy accusing someone he knows is
sane of mental instability. And I can't see him
actually believing Harry unstable. He's actually met
the boy, after all.
