Someone on the list, and unfortunately I can't remember who, pointed 
out that Dumbledore said "It is our choices...that show what we truly 
are, far more than our abilities", he say "our choices" SHOW, he DID 
NOT say they MAKE us "what we are" and therefore the quote is no 
argument against what IIRC she called "essentialism", the theory 
that some people (Harry) innately ARE good and inevitably will choose 
good, while some others (Draco) are innately evil and will always 
choose evil and never repent.
