Yep. From the Lexicon and JKR's Quidditch through the Ages:  "In the 
mid-1300s, Godric's Hollow was the home of Bowman Wright, the 
inventor of the Golden Snitch."  So it's the name of the hamlet or 
town where the Potters lived, not the name of the Potter's house 
itself.
