Ok, now that I've posted the above with such certainty, it occurred
to me that the fact that Bowman Wright also lived in Godric's Hollow
doesn't necessarily rule out the possibility that it could be the
name of the Potter's house. What if Wright was an ancestor of the
Potters, and the Potters inherited the house from him? There has
been some speculation that Wright might be an ancestor of James
Potter, with the proceeds from the development of the snitch being
the source of James' inherited wealth.
So I didn't conclusively solve this particular question after all.
Although I do still believe Godric's Hollow is the name of the
town. "Hollow" is used to connote a small valley, which is
suggestive of a general location rather than a specific house name
IMO.
