[HPforGrownups] The bodies of James and Lily Potter

I've often wondered what happened to the bodies of James and Lily after
their deaths at the hands of Voldemort?  I know Hagrid was the one to find
Harry and take him to Dumbledore (but not before running into Sirius), but I
often wondered of the bodies were ever recovered? Or even buried?  We know
that the house was burning when Hagrid got there, but why did it burn? Did
the backlash from the Killing Curse prove so powerful that it actually
caused the burning?  Just curious....
