Mmmm. I think that this isn't necessarily an absolute argument that
Godric's Hollow is a residence (avoiding the whole Manor/House/Estate
debate of the other thread), because it's possible that a house is
called by its name. To draw yet another Pride & Prejudice comparison,
Darcy's residence is constantly referred to as Pemberley, not as his
estate or residence, and similarly, the use of the proper name for a
residence might be something that is done, especially as the Weasleys do
call their house, "The Burrow" (CoS, Floo scene, IIRC).
I do think it's more likely a conclave of wizards in an otherwise-Muggle
area, but that's just a hunch based on canon inferences, more than
anything else.
