Sorry, that's not good enough. In the BBC special that aired christmas
2001, she said that "more deaths are coming", and that one of them would
be horrible to write. She didn't specify that this would come in book 5,
but the voiceover was talking about book 5 just prior to this. At the
CoS premiere she simply confirmed that this death would come in OoP.

It's possible that this is the death that has been interpreted as the
"death of a fan", but I believe that that the rumour could be older
than this. Before publication of GoF, she said that there would be
several deaths in GoF, but the reader would only really care about one
of them. This could also have turned into "a fan will die in the next
book".
