That's a rather weak point, I think. Ron's pieces trust him because they've known him 
for a long time and he's a good player. Neither counts for Harry when he's playing with 
Seamus' or his own pieces. Also, the pieces might argue, but they still obey in the end 
no matter how much they trust you or not.

Most of all, these are enchanted chess pieces, nothing more. Their "personalities" are 
far from being as complex as a human, so being a good wizard chess player says 
nothing about your leadership when it comes to humans. Not that leadership in battle 
and leadership in society are that similar anyway.
