Yeah, I agree with Chyna - I mean, I guess it would make sense that 
the students somehow get the cauldron to the lab on the day of the 
first class or school or something. At that point, it could probably 
be stored in some kind of storage closet.

But canon really need not cover it, because the lugging of a cauldron 
and then its storage is really just a matter of boring logistics - 
probably something that would be edited out in a revision anyways.

Excellent question, though.
