Well, I didn't hear anyone ask Harry if he was aware of the
danger, or if he was willing to spend some of his money on a
good broom (he was given one), nor do I remember him needing
permission from the Dursleys to join the team.
He needed permission to visit Hogsmeade, but I don't think
there was any mention that parents could forbid their kids
to play Quidditch.
