I know that not so long ago marrying first cousins "to keep the property
in the family" was not uncommon, and I just heard that in twenty
states it's *still* legal (dunno about the UK).  So I'm betting
that Sirius' parents were first cousins, both bearing the name Black.

What amazes me is that the DEs/Slytherins haven't all died out from
all those centuries of chronic inbreeding.  If nothing else,
Dumbledore's side is *healthier*.  :)
