OoP: Has Anyone Seen Redeemable Draco???

Yes, and I believe I said something to that effect as well (just 
withouth the Wile E. Coyote stuff).  I pointed out that Draco was very 
serious when he said he was going to kill Harry, but I didn't say we 
should all take him very seriously.  Draco does have more fuel to add 
to his fire against Harry, though, now that dear old Dad is in 
Azkaban, thanks to Harry.  Maybe we'll see his anger on a new level.

Definitely agree with you, there.  Draco is the best example of the 
two-dimensional Slytherins JKR has created.  While I don't see any 
evidence for Draco having a change of heart, it would be refreshing if 
he became more of a threat or even more unpredictable in book 6.  I 
wonder if, in reality, a kid like Draco would continue to taunt 
someone like Harry, even after the Draco-like kid has had his ass 
kicked repeatedly.  Shouldn't Draco accept defeat and slither away 
with his tail between his legs?
