Oh, I agree that Snape is a horrible teacher from what we've seen so far.
He may be better with his NEWT students since he only allows "O" students
into the classes and they're supposedly taking the class because they *want*
to take it for their future jobs.  But at the present time we don't know if
he's a completely awful teacher, or just doesn't do well with the junior
students.
