Nagini/Harry

Hiya everyone-
I've been reading this list a long time, but never posted. And I've 
searched through old posts and theories, but still seen very little 
discussion of Voldemort's snake, Nagini...
It seems to me that Nagini has to be pivotal to the story in some 
way. Maybe an Animagus? Who then? Dumbledore? Snape? Maybe even 
Grindelwald?
Also, in OoP, Harry sees through the eyes of a snake. We assume but 
don't know that it is Nagini. (One character, I believe Mr. Weasley, 
asks Harry if Voldemort has a pet snake.) If Nagini is an Animagus, 
could Harry imagine himself to be seeing through the snake?
Oh, so much to think about....
I suppose we'll hear in Book 6?
