No, sounds like I misremembered. I don't have my book with me, but
I'll take your word for it. What a gracious way to tell me I don't
know my arse from my elbow, Phyllis--thanks. <g>
I do take Deb's point about a woman being in charge of the
housecleaning. I think it may well show that the limitations of
sexist expectations still constrict JKR's imagination. OTOH, it's a
typical and funny Rowling twist to put this motherly homemaker in
charge of "housecleaning" and have the housecleaning actually be
quite hazardous and requiring considerable DADA talent. And instead
of it being the only woman, we see three women in the Order (not
counting the ones who don't do anything except pick Harry up at the
Dursleys') and two of them are not at all the homemaking type.
