HORRIFIED-because several post have said that Ron also jokingly 
predicted his own death in Oop. As we know most of what Ron jokes 
about or sarcastically predicts happens-so should we expect Ron's 
death? I have not been able to find the canon from OoP for Ron's 
death, but I am still looking.

I can't give you an exact age ref for this but I can tell you where in the
story it is. It's after Ron and Harry have taken their Diviniations OWL. Ron
says that even if his tea leaves spell out 'Die, Ron, Die' he's going to
throw them out without looking at them :)

I sympathise greatly with the poor boy. His attitude towards divinations
materials parallels my feelings about my German lit books at the end of my
degree (not that there's anything wrong with German lit per se but really
analysing every word for hidden meaning seems over the top ..... uh, *looks
around*, maybe not <g>)
