Me(Cassie):
This brings up an interesting point, I think.
My take on it is/was that Snape was acting indifferent towards Harry's
memories because he wanted to avoid a 'bonding moment'. Maybe Snape feels/felt some
empathy towards Harry. However...Severus Snape develop a personal relationship
with a student (esp. Harry Potter) or anyone, for that matter? I don't think
so. He's just not the type.
I think remaining...professional (As professional as Snape gets...I am a
Snape lover, but I won't deny he can be a bit of a bastard. Actually, that's why I
love him, so it's OK ^^) or being a @#!!$ is his way of coping with deeper
problems. Maybe he thinks some issues are better to avoid than to face...or
something.
*hopes she's making sense*
