All that proves is that Harry THOUGHT his father was in Gryffindor..

However I seem to rember a JKR interview going way way back before 
GoF wwere she answered some kids question on this by saying  
"Gryffindor of course... "  So maybe a scan of the complete 
JKR interview archives might settle this?
