Here's a terrible thought: Maybe they knew about the Prophecy and *had* to
get married?  Harry is starting to think that his father was less than the
ideal that he thought he was.  Whose to say his mother or even their
marriage was ideal as well?

Prophecy sometimes leave allows little in the form of free will...
