On the contrary, on pg. 591 AE Snape tells Harry, "it's not up to 
you to find out what the Dark Lord is saying to his Death Eaters."
Harry replies "No, that's your job."
Snape "Yes, Potter, that is my job."

So, if Snape's job is undercover with the Deatheaters, I still think 
he can hardly take on the DADA job, at least without an Umbridge 
like class plan. 

Actually, (slight aside here)I think eventually, rather than being 
an Auror, Harry will become the new DADA teacher.
