OOP: seeing those thestrals and such

We don't really know if Harry saw his mother die. We know that he 
hears her yelling, but that's it. There's room for other things. I 
don't think Harry saw Quirrel die as in SS he passes out. He awakens 
in the infirmary, but doesn't know what has happened. 

I don't think the death of creatures counts. I do believe it took him time to 
accept the death of Cedric, which is why he doesn't see the thestrals 
at the end of GoF.
