Me:
Ooooh, good thinking! What I wonder, though, is
whether the room can only be used for one thing at a
time- like, would anyone who went in while the DA was
having a meeting walk in on them if even if they'd
wanted the room for a different purpose? Does the door
stay visible while someone is in there? If so, then it
doesn't seem any safer than if they'd just used an
empty classroom or something. The reason I ask all
this is, how could Umbridge get into the room at all?
It seemed odd to me that what she needed happened to
be *exactly* what was in the DA room, since she didn't
even know exactly what they were doing or what she was
looking for. But then, you may be right on target- she
could get in because she needed evidence.
And, a slight sidenote about that Harry/Cho kiss: I,
too, am a hopeless romantic and chose to imagine the
ordeal as a falling-dramatically-onto-the-cushions
affair. (I mean, *half an hour*? That was no peck on
the lips :P) Although, honestly, I must admit to
myself that it was more likely an awkward, crying,
dazed mess.
Though, if I want to take this down an even more
salacious road of "we don't know what happened so we
can make up anything we like", I'd point out that this
*is* the Room of Requirement- it might have, at Cho's
command, turned into a honeymoon suite filled
with...well, I suppose that's an issue for another
post :)
Heather :P
