I like this speculation re Lilly's use of a switching spell. I thought Voldy killed James, then Lilly, then had a go at Harry. Whatever Lilly did, she did it before Voldy whacked her. The green eyes seem to be such a significant recurring theme that they have something to do with the Lilly/Harry/Voldy thing.
