This is a good point. And now that I'm on this point, has it ever 
been explained why Harry's scar hurt whenever Snape looked at him at 
that first welcoming feast? Was it actually Quirrell, who was next to 
Snape at the table?

The scar never hurt again in Potions class, but then again, not 
during DADA class either.
