Me:
I wouldn't be so dismissive of Draco just yet. Afterall, we only have 
canon that Hermoine beat him in every subject, there is no mention of 
where Ron and Harry stand in comparison. 

As you said, Draco has just taken off the gloves. This means war. Not 
school boy rivalry. I got into a number of scuffles in school, I had 
kids I hated, and kids who hated me, but we never went all out. 
Embarasment and Negative Teacher Attention were our most common 
weapons and very few fights actualy went physical. Nobody ever used a 
weapon. But if Draco desides to get serious, he might not pull any 
punches, sure he might get expelled, but who says he'd care? And how 
much damage could he do?
