Draco's a celebrity hound (see Krum), and despite Potter's checkered background, I'm sure Draco would have permitted Harry to worship him. Given Malfoy's connections, I wondered if his dad may have known Harry would be starting at Hogwarts (though it seems it had been a well-kept secret). Of course if Harry had come under Draco's influence, Voldy would have had a very short distance to travel between two points. Harry would have likely been a Slyth and history would have been very different.
