He certainly isn't ready to deal with somebody as troubled as Cho. I 
think people have been a too little hard on her. Think about it; 
here's a teenage girl who's lost her first boyfriend suddenly and 
violently to the WW's version of satan. Of *course* she's an 
emotional basket case. It's clear that she desperately needs to hear 
exactly how Cedric died, God knows what nightmarish scenarios the 
poor kid's imagined. The truth, fortunately, is somewhat comforting. 
Cedric died instantaneously without time even to feel afraid, much 
less suffer pain. And there really was nothing he or Harry, taken by 
surprise as they were, could have done to prevent it. 
Unfortunately Harry is too traumatized himself to be able to comfort 
Cho, and she clearly has no idea how to help him. Maybe if they were 
a little older and more experienced they could comfort each other but 
as it is this relationship is doomed.

But Harry is in Love, but not in "Big Love" with Cho. After X-mas he 
only looks forward to the DA-meetings, not meeting with Cho again. 
And yes, they needed "Big Love" to have the strenght to comfort each 
other. ... sniff...
