When Harry saw the attack on Arthur from the snake's point of
view...is it possible that Voldemort is an animagus, who turns
into a snake? I would be very surprised if he had never acquired that
particular talent, as powerful as he was. It would also be very
useful for stealth and spying. Dumbledore said Voldemort must
havebeen, "with the snake," and that was why Harry saw it from that
pointof view, but what if he WAS the snake, and that's why Harry saw
it as he did? Just a thought...

Now me:

I had the exact same though last night. It didn't really make sense
to me that Voldemort would still be possessing things now that he has
a body. Of course we also see Voldemort posses Harry at the end so it
could go either way. Of course if he was possesing the snake how did
he get out of there so quickly as Nagini? If he were himself he could
just disaparate, but wouldn't that be harder as Nagini? I was also
wondering if anyone noticed that snakes can see through invisibility
cloaks? The passage not only said the snake detected the man but that
he was resting with his chin on his chest. Then when Arthur stood up
a silvery cloak slid to his feet.
