I have to agree, and that includes the Cruciatus Curse... Though that
may be because to us, the readers, Cruciatus seems more abstract,
while we can all imagine all too well what the Quill is like.
BTW, couldn't Harry get rid of those scars in the back of his hand
with Fawkes' tears?
My summing up of Umbridge is that she's a cross between Captain Bligh,
Wackford Squeers, and Sue-Ann Nivens ( pardon the "70's moment" :) ).

Again, I agree; and I'm speaking as someone who sees in Snape a gestalt
of all of the "Teachers from Hell" he endured from Kindergarten through
College. (Though Umbridge may be wrestling that status from him in my mind.)
He's a fascinating guy, and clearly has *some* good in him.
I don't think Harry and Snape will ever share a warm, fuzzy bear hug;
but I'm hoping they may come to at least respect each other and
tolerate each others' existence.
Sac> Everyone just loves to attack Snape. There's canon both for and against him.

Hagrid's main fault is naivete -- Everyone from Acromantulas to News
Reporters to Hooded Guys Who Just Happen to Have a Dragon Egg on Them
are trustworthy to him. I worry that naivete will be Hagrid's undoing.
And I'm wondering when we're going to find out *why* Dumbledore
"trusts Hagrid with his life"...
