Do we really want to cuddle with someone who delights in taunting
school children, someone who plots the murder of a child and sports
with the lives of the innocent, someone who sucks up to Umbridge....

EEEEWWWWW! (not the most intelligent response, but accurate)

me -

I'm not going to defend Draco in this because I've already said I don't like
him.

Yes Snape taunts his students (although I noticed for the first time in OoP
that not all the taunts were directed at Gryffindors, which I thought was
good) and no I wouldn't want to be taught by him. He's an abyssmal teacher
(in my opinion - and yes I know we have some evidence that his methods work
at getting information in to the children's heads but that doesn't stop him
being a bad teacher). But that doesn't stop him being sexy - I don't believe
any of us (Snape lovers that is) have ever accused him of being *nice*. I
think his taunts are a combination of his hatred for all things Potter, his
role as a spy and a pretty basic hatred of children and teaching. No one
will ever convince me that Severus likes his job. None of this excuses his
behaviour and I'm not saying it does but it does go part of the way to
explaining why he does it.

As to Lucius - yes he's evil, deliciously so and again I really don't think
any of his supporters have tried to claim otherwise. We *like* that about
him.

You seem to be having a problem distinguishing fantasy from reality here
(that sounds harsh but I didn't mean it in an unkind way). Would I want to
be around Lucius in real life? No way in hell - I don't have enough life
insurance for that :) But I can find him attractive because he's evil but
totally safe - he's fictional, he can't actually hurt me. So I can indulge
in my fantasy without any danger. As to Snape I don't know whether I'd want
to know him in real life. I know I wouldn't want to be taught by him but I
don't think he's all bad as a person, in fact as I've said earlier I think
he and McGonagall have a friendly relationship so it's perfectly possible to
be friends with the guy.

Besides I don't want to 'cuddle' either of them - throw them down on the
nearest flat surface and ravish them (or have them do that to me) definitely
but not necessarily cuddle. <eg> Anyway Snape's biggest problem seems to be
his wicked tongue - and I wasn't planning on letting him speak ....
