Not meaning to interrupt a great discussion, but, while I whole-
heartedly agree that there is little, if any, direct evidence that
Harry is getting special treatment because teachers LIKED his
father, is there direct evidence that Snape is treating Harry less
than fair because he DISLIKED James? I think this is the case, but
I can't remember the books ever explicitly saying that. Admittedly
I don't always remember things I read awhile back, so if there is
direct evidence to say Snape is mistreating Harry because of his
past dealings with James, where is it? Again, sorry for
interrupting, but this thread seemed the best place to ask. Great
discussion!!
