I agree completely.  I was thinking this very same thing while I was 
reading that part of the book.  The best part about reading books or 
watching movies, I think, is that you know that they are contrived 
stories.  Things are not there if they are not supposed to be, or if 
they are not somehow relevant.  I'm sure we'll see these prophecies 
again.  Rowling has already shown her love of and talent for 
foreshadowing, so it'll be interesting to see how this all plays out!
