intrusion into Snape's memories. That was unconscionable. True, it was
also completely human but we live in a fallen world. Harry should have
known better. He should have at the very least apologized. An eye for

and I, Jenny from Ravenclaw respond:

I cannot help but see this as a teacher (not that anyone would be
surprised at this point). If I decided that I hated a student the
first day he walked into my room and treated him badly, evenutally
he'd react to me. Teenagers, like anyone else, really, are pretty
quick to defend themselves and to lash out. It's quite amazing that
Harry isn't as rude to Snape as he was to Umbridge (I did love that,
though).

I've seen teachers in my school make it pretty clear that they do not
like certain students. Those are the very students who turn around
and cause problems for those teachers. Why? Because they don't feel
that they need to treat those teachers with respect. What a waste of
time on the part of the teachers! Snape can dislike Harry without
giving so much of his own energy to it. Really, Snape is going to
give himself a heart attack from focusing on how much Harry irritates
him. If he had ever given Harry a chance, I think things would be
just fine between the two of them, the Occlumency lessons would have
been more successful, and Harry might have exercised more self-control
and turned away from the Pensieve.

As invasive as Harry was, Snape set things in motion and that's just
the way it is. I'm never surprised when I find out about the kid who
blew his top in the class of the teacher who wouldn't stop picking on
him.
