This is an idea that I must admit had never occurred to me - but now
that it's been raised I think it's entirely possible, and it brings
up some interesting ideas.

If Malfoy (or other DE) wants to keep the Longbottoms insane - what
is the reason?? The Lestranges have already been convicted for
their torture. Could the reason be that *someone else* was also
involved, who was never caught and is not known to be a DE?

I don't want to add fire to the whole love/hate Snape debate :-),
but he would certainly fit the *someone else* position. He is so
well trusted by DD that the DEs would have a large stake in keeping
any involvement hidden.

Then again, if you're going to interfere to the extent of keeping
the Longbottoms insane, why not just go the whole way and just have
them killed as Bode was?

Hmmmmmmm....conspiracy theories abound! :-)

go and have dinner of pizza and garlic bread
