Did anyone predict the death?

Hello!  I'm new.  My name is Joann and I'm from the USA and am a 32 
year old mother of three.  My kids love Harry Potter too, but not 
nearly as much as me.  

I purposefully didn't read this list {or any other's} before the book 
came out because I didn't want to be spoiled.  What I'm wondering is, 
did anybody predict that it would be Sirius who would die?  It seems 
EVERYONE was shocked. Even people who had long lists of who it would 
be, left Sirius off it.  It's like he was never even considered.  I 
count myself as well.  I thought it was going to be Hagrid.

Was anyone sure all along, before the book came out, that it would be 
Sirius?
