Do you still remember the rumour about "someone becoming able to do
magic late in their life"... Can we still expect someone to turn
magic late in their life in book 6 or 7?

I have long been under the impression that the person finding they
can do magic in real life is one Vernon Dursley... There is more to
Vernon than we know. While OOTP shows the Howler from Dumbledore
addressed to Petunia, it could easily pertain "remember my last" to
something to do with Vernon.

Me:

What if Dudley's the one? He's certainly manipulative, vengeful,
and hateful enough to become a Death Eater. Of course, he's also a
dull-witted, sniveling, selfish coward -- but then, so was
Pettigrew.

Heck, Dudley could even find himself an Animagus capable of turning
into a pig!
