I think you're right saying he doesn't really know how to stand up
for himself, but on
the other hand I just can't complain about it because I was just the
same at that age.
It's just the Quidditch thing - I don't think it's because the twins
are gone that Ron
can play better - when Ron displayed "a new optimism" at breakfast
that day, I was
immediately thinking "YES!", cause success was obviously coming now
that he wasn't
worried about failing anymore. And remember when he was telling Harry
and
Hermione about his first save: "just out of nowhere, I thought - you
can do this!" He
trusted himself at that moment, I think that is the key to his
improvement. (Without
sounding to Lockhart-ish... see earlier posts)
