I don't know about that. Dumbledore gave everyone strict orders,
and I don't think that she would have been allowed to tell him.
There has to be a reason that Dumbledore did not want Harry to know
that he was being watched (i.e. he thought he might act more
recklessly, or something along those lines). She wouldn't tell him
anything after the episode with the Dementors, nothing even
quickly. I was guessing that she was asking him over to check on
how he was doing. But you bring up an interesting point. It's
always so much easier to blame others than ourselves.
