That does seem to me to be the implication of what DD says - he specifically says to Harry 'He chose you' - but it just does not make sense to me. I mean, picture the scene. You're an Evil Overlord on the brink of world domination, and you hear a prophecy that predicts your own demise at the hand of one of two possible children.

Do you a: Toss a coin, go after one of the two, and then spend the next 20 years thinking 'Wow, hope I picked the right one'

Or do you b: take 'em both out?

It makes more sense to me to believe that he went to the Potters first, thanks to Pettigrew's betrayal, and that he would have got to the Longbottoms eventually. It could then be argued that he 'chose' Harry by marking him with the scar, but wouldn't that choice be more accidental than anything else?

It also makes me wonder if the Longbottoms were in hiding as well, and is so, who *their* Secret Keeper was. Can't help but wonder if it was Dumbledore...

Any thoughts?

As this is <gulp> my first ever post I hope it is correct in all forms and doesn't offend or upset in any way. Love this list!
