Lets remember that it wasn't Mad Eye who turned Malfoy into the
incredible bouncing Ferret or who used the unforgivables in class -
it was Crouch Jnr doing his best to impersonate Mad Eye. When Harry
and Ron took polyjuice they didn't 'become' Crabbe and Goyle, they
only took on their appearance. So all of Crouch Jnr's death eater
like qualities would have still been present in his Moody persona.

I have been mulling over this one for some time - Bellatrix told
Harry that the secret of the unforgivables is that you have to enjoy
it - which is why Harry's attempt at the Cruciatus Charm was
relativley ineffective. Dumbledore asked Moody to show the fourth
years what they were up against - does that mean that Moody (the real
one, who Dumbledore thought he was talking to) would have had to
enjoy torturing and killing the spiders?

Okay now I'm confusing myself!
