Hi AG,
I have to disagree with your picks. I have a Top Five list.

1. Mrs Figg, her development as a character so far, to me indicates
that she has the fortitude to give a spell, she has seen someone do,
a go, and I think the determined spirit to carry it off if need be.

2. Petunia, I am not sure she *is* a squib but her character seems,
to me, to be like someone who would have a little "secret magic" that
she prefers not to acknowlege in herself.

3. Dudley, for me this is a clutch at some very thin straws, though.

4. Filch, he seems a little too grounded in physical things to ever
actually change his failure at magic even for a brief shining moment,
but, stranger things have happened.

5. The Weasley accountant, because I simply cannot see another
character who fits the bill for me I guess the only other choice is
one we know nothing about.

Now my Top three people it wont be, but may seem to be.

1. Dolores Umbridge, she a complete incompetent in her office, yes.
But I am sure the cruciatus was not a bluff, and I think she
performed as many as three different spells on the centaurs.

2. Vernon Dursley, I just don't think he's got it in him at all.

3. Hagrid, He is already magical and doesn't need desperate
circumstances to pull off an, albeit second class, spell.
